History of Parker Productions

Parker Productions/Parker Sports is the brainchild of professional public address announcer Philip Parker. Specializing in Public Address, Promo and radio announcing, Parker Productions is at the top of the list when it comes to Public Events, Weddings or Sporting Events that need either a DJ or a PA Announcer.

Philip Parker began his career as a radio DJ in 2000. He worked with a Knoxville, Tennessee radio station as a weekend sound board operator, Producer and weekend DJ. He loved it and from that point on, he was hooked.

In 2001 Philip went to work for a nearby Minor League Baseball team, working as their on field promotions announcer.  Nightly he would work crowds of six to seven thousand fans between innings and during post game events. It was here that Philip got comfortable with being in front of people and really building the skills he would need later on.

While working in baseball, Philip had the oppurtunity to further his skills on the microphone when he was offered a job with the National Indoor Professional Football League. Philip spent 2 seasons in the press box before the team folded but not before Philip realized this was something he wanted to make a career out of.

In the next few years, Philip took every oppurtunity he could to build on his experience. He became a seasoned wedding DJ and served as the Public Address Announcer for many public events in Knoxville, Tennessee as well as for many high school basketball tournaments. It was during this time that he decided to step out and begin his own business doing what he loved. Parker Productions was born and grew steadily.

Philip has since worked as Public Address announcer for the Womens Professional Basketball League and also as the Public Address announcer for the University of Tennessee Lady Vols softball team, that finished 2nd in the NCAA Division 1 Womens College World Series behind the pitching of All American Monica Abbott.
